Dell’s PowerEdge R820 is the first Xeon E5-4600 production server. This is a compact four-socket  2U server, which can be used to manage heavy duty databases, virtualization, HPC, and VDI hosting.

T he PowerEdge R820 sports Intel’s latest Xeon E5-4600 processors.The Dell power Edge R820 is a balanced combination of processing density, high memory capacity, low power consumption and value.Dell Power edge R820 is best as it has room at the front for sixteen SFF drives.

The R820 is equipped with a quartet of 6-core 2.6GHz E5-4607v2 Xeons which has a 15MB L3 cache, a 8 GT/sec QPI  links and a low 95W TDP. These models support memory speeds up to 1333MHz and Intel’s HyperThreading, but not Turbo Boost.

HP ProLiant DL560 Gen8 is designed to deliver performance, scalability, and expandability. Built on the rich Gen8 features of the ProActive Insight architecture. s the perfect 4P powerhouse for data centers.
 Internal storage capacity is low but its design leaves plenty of room for expansion. Storage options are more limited as the DL560 only has room for five SFF hard disks at the front.
HP has opted for a much simpler internal layout with the four CPU sockets mounted on a single motherboard.
